| Customer Reviews: IF YOU HAVEN'T TRIED DYNAPLUG NOW'S THE TIME! August 30, 2010 William Edwards (NYC suburb) I PURCHASED MY FIRST KIT 15 OR 20 YEARS AGO AT A LOCAL STORE AND WAS AMAZED HOW EASY IT WAS TO USE BUT WAS UNABLE TO FIND ADDITIONAL PLUGS. I ASSUMED A LARGE TIRE MANUFACTURER BOUGHT THEM OUT, THE ITEM WAS TOO GOOD TO LAST. I WAS THEN PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FIND IT AGAIN ON AMAZON AND IMMEDIATELY ORDERED ANOTHER KIT WITH THE ADDITIONAL PLUGS. IT LITERALLY TAKES A COUPLE OF MINUTES TO FIX A PUNCTURE WHILE THE TIRE IS STILL ON THE VEHICLE. YOU JUST PULL OUT THE NAIL, ETC AND PUSH IN THE PLUG. FOR A LARGER HOLE PUSH IN A COUPLE OF PLUGS. IT DOES HOWEVER TAKE QUITE A BIT OF FORCE TO PENETRATE THE STEEL BELTS ON MY LARGE 16" STEEL BELTED TIRES.
Great for My SRT8 August 14, 2010 Robert L. Moore Jr. (Thomasville, GA USA) My Charger SRT 8 does not come with a spare tire. It comes with a compressor and what I call tire gunk. Anyway, I had a hole that a nearby tire center did not want to repair. They could not sell me a tire because it did not have the size. Fortunately I had these plugs which sealed the hole and enabled me to get to a REAL tire dealer who patched the hole from the inside.
Great product March 15, 2010 BobLap (Jackson, NJ United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Used this in a tire that had a pretty big piece of metal sticking out. Had to use 5 of the plugs but it sealed the leak and the repair is still holding up after a few months.
I thought the plugs are a bit pricey, they probably could have made them a bit cheaper by using a stiff nylon in place of the brass tips, but you cant argue with the results. I've used regular plugs for years and these made fixing a flat ten times easier.
If you do purchase the system, make sure you clean out the injector between each use. Very important or you'll have a lot of trouble getting the next plug into the injector.
These work great on run flat tires. May 21, 2009 Bobby (Bay Area California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Used these on two cars both with run flat tires and they worked great. You simply remove the nail/screw, load the Dynaplug tool and insert it into the hole. It may take 2 or 3 plugs but they eventually stop the leak and you just trim off the excess tail and youre done. Compared to buying a new tire for $200 or $300 its a winner!
