 Great for hooking up trailers May 13, 2010

I bought this item for making it easier to hookup trailers. For this purpose it works great. Once you figure out the depth perception you don't have to get in and out of your vehicle. Objects that are far away from the camera give you a fish eye view though. When I hooked up the camera I installed a switch so I can turn the camera on/off when I wan't to. Nice feature if you are driving down the road and want to check your trailer connections. I would recomend this to others for this purpose. As long as the objects are close to the camera the resolution is good.

i hook it up to my dodge ram, put in the hitch turn it on and there was the ball,perfect.
i used the trailer wires to tap into much easier,not bad for a 98$ ,rite after i bought it
the price went up to 130 then 150 and 199 then out of stock it was a good buy!

The camera seems to be working very well. I had a back-up camera before, but not like this one. This camera has a great picture and a lot wider view that the old one(and it is in color}. I highely recommend this camera!!!

This is an excellent Back- Up camera for the price. Instalation is more than few minutes as advertised, but its worth taking the time to install it. The picture is fairly clear and a nice wide angle, specialy with a 7 inch Monitor. I installed this camera in my Motor Home and it works wonderfull. Make sure to keep the Transmiter inside away from the elemnt and not far from the Monitor, by the way it is the Receiver actuly and you will have an excellent clear picture in color. Very satisfied with this product and it will do a great job to put blind spots in sight. If you need one go for it.

The product worked just fine until last week (owned for 2 months), the screen started flashing when the truck was put into reverse and it would finally come on after a few seconds. Now the camera will not come on at all. The monitor still picks up the neighbors and other business's cameras so the problem must be with the camera or transmitter. I really loved it when it worked and it is a great safety devise as my truck is one of the largest SUVs on the road. I sent an email through Amazon to their affiliate who sold it to me. We'll see if they make this right. I will update this review based on the response. I'm really very disappointed, the picture was great when it worked.
